BackWest formed in late 2016 and in March 2017 the band released their debut album entitled The Long Walk. In a review done by Irish Music Magazine it labeled their album as “A debut on fire” praising them for their diversity in performance and synergy of style. Gordon Potter of The Living Tradition describes their debut as “Definitely one of the top albums of this or any year”. There is no question that this band has made waves on the live circuit in more ways than one.
